Key Responsibilities
- Affiliate with end-to-end graphic design projects for community communications, events, social media, and promotional needs.
- Create polished graphics and visual content using Canva and other digital tools, with a focus on brand consistency, strong design execution, and visual storytelling.
- Bring a thoughtful creative eye to layout, messaging, and overall presentation, producing materials that feel elevated and on-brand.
- Support the preparation of communication drafts, digital updates, and other content as needed.
- Attend community events to help capture photos, videos, and social media content for future marketing, storytelling, recaps, and promotional use.
- Support event-related content needs, including social media highlights, reels, short-form videos, and visual recaps.
- Affiliate with organizing communication files, media assets, photos, videos, graphics, and project materials.
- Affiliate with general communications projects and department needs as assigned by the Communications Director.
Learning Objectives
- Familiarity with HOA operations, systems, and governance processes.
- Experience supporting community engagement initiatives and events.
- Development of professional communication and organizational skills.
- Understanding of compliance procedures and community standards.
- Exposure to administrative workflows, resident services practices, and operational planning.
- Potential academic credit (subject to school approval).
- Flexible scheduling available to accommodate class commitments.
- Consideration for extended internship or future employment based on performance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods during site visits, meetings, or office tasks.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., event supplies, signage, small equipment).
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capability to climb stairs and navigate multi-level properties or facilities.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Visual and auditory acuity to observe property conditions, read documents, and communicate effectively.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license when travel is necessary. (Please note: If driving is part of your job, we will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
