About the role
Use proprietary computer software to analyze customer-supplied 3D CAD models and create digital files for manufacturing. Shift: Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Create and send quotes/toolpaths using proprietary software and customer-supplied CAD models
- Create Quality Control checks for manufacturing usage
- Resolve issues that prevent auto-quoting using organization’s internal software
- Develop and maintain knowledge of organizational processes to convey benefits and respond to customer inquiries within quotes
- Proactively collaborate with internal resources to answer customer questions about our process, specific materials, or CNC in general
- Provide assistance to machine operators as needed
- Assist in troubleshooting parts and part creation
- Consistently evaluate best practices and improvement opportunities for self, team, and company
- Comply with all company quality and safety standards
- Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Experience with CAD/CAM software packages
- Ability to learn advanced proprietary graphical computer-aided analysis software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to comprehend and follow printed and on-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field preferred
- Experience with CNC-operated machines (bonus)

Pay
$26.15 - $34.86 an hour
Work Environment
- Indoors (A/C), nonsmoking
- Majority of work performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection and safety shoes required
- Occasional work in outside weather conditions
- Occasional work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Noise level usually quiet to moderate
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and printer
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk, see, and hear
