Digital Machine Operator- 2ND Shift

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate digital machines according to job specifications, production schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Load materials, inks, substrates, or components as required for each job.
  • Review job orders, specifications, and instructions to ensure accuracy before production.
  • Monitor equipment during operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and throughput.
  • Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and keep machinery in optimal working condition.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including production logs, quality checks, and inventory usage.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and safe material handling.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance technicians, and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Absorb and assist with training new team members on digital equipment and processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing, print, or digital production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical instructions, and production schedules.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Basic computer skills for equipment interfaces and production recordkeeping.
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating digital presses, or other automated digital production machinery.
  • Knowledge of color management, digital file handling, or print workflow systems.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
