Digital Library Technician, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist

About the role

This position assists patients in preparation for exams, provides basic instructions, transports patients, and greets patients and visitors. The role also involves generating requisitions, checking schedules, organizing exam rooms, maintaining equipment, filing and retrieving health information records, and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Aids in patient preparation and instruction for exams.
• Transports patients between exam rooms and departments.
• Organizes and prepares exam rooms and work areas.
• Files, retrieves, and releases health information records and films.
• Communicates with physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
• Documents observations and communicates patient needs.
• Maintains and monitors imaging equipment.
• Screens and documents MRI implants.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• GED or HSED, or High School Graduate.
• IV insertion and venipuncture skills (based on department need).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Knowledge of principles of growth and development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Age-specific knowledge and skills.

Pay

$18.85 - $28.30 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with shared on-call responsibilities on weekends and holidays.
