About the role
TrellisWare Technologies is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer to join the Hardware Platforms and Accessories Team. This role involves developing, testing, integrating, and maintaining hardware designs for tactical radios. The ideal candidate will also contribute to enhancing team cohesiveness and morale, and will be expected to lead small project teams and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develops system and module level requirements and specifications.
- Designs and simulates digital circuits and systems, including associated analog and power circuits.
- Creates required design documentation.
- Verifies and Validates product performance through debug, test, and analysis at the component, module, and system level.
- Led small project teams, mentors junior engineers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study required.
- At least 5-7 years overall experience in designing products with significant digital hardware content.
Skills
- Good understanding of Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, SOCs, Programmable Logic and Memory.
- Working knowledge of associated analog and power hardware such as audio/video and SMPS circuits.
- Knowledge of high-speed busses such as LPDDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet.
- Knowledge of low-speed peripheral busses such as SPI, I2C, SMBus.
- Proficiency in software tools of the trade: Schematic Capture, PCB layout, Digital Timing Simulators, Signal Integrity Simulators.
- Experience designing for manufacturability and test.
- Develops documentation skills and proficiency with PC office applications.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
