Responsibilities
- Affix forensic collections of computers, mobile devices, servers, and cloud-based data sources.
- Perform onsite and remote forensic imaging using sound preservation practices.
- Maintain detailed chain of custody records and evidence documentation.
- Photograph, label, inventory, and securely track evidence throughout engagements.
- Support forensic data processing, keyword searching, artifact analysis, and deleted data recovery.
- Prepare reports, declarations, and other documentation that clearly explain technical findings.
- Maintain forensic equipment and oversee secure evidence storage.
- Record billable time and maintain accurate project documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort working with technology and learning advanced forensic techniques.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Prior experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, litigation support, or evidence handling.
- Experience with forensic imaging or electronic evidence preservation.
- Knowledge of Relativity, litigation holds, or ESI workflows.
- Familiarity with scripting, SQL, PowerShell, command line tools, or imaging utilities.
- Understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Interest in obtaining industry certifications such as EnCE, CCE, or GCFA.
