About the Role
Steampunk is looking for a Digital Forensics Analyst to support one of our federal customers. The Digital Forensics Analyst will support a dynamic team that provides engineering services across a variety of platforms and technology. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is interested in learning the latest technology and has a proven ability to learn quickly and apply training to solve real world engineering problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop data warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, data governance, and services
- Support data collection
- Implement data pipelines
- Perform extractions and examinations with tools such as Cellebrite, Axiom, GrayKey
- Address technical challenges of customization, integration, and functionality
- Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software; manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment
- Manage systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
- Resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems
- Integrate hardware and software components within the systems environment
- Evaluate new systems engineering technologies and their effect on the operating environment; manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements
- Interface with clients and solve user requests
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Minimum of Five (5) years of experience managing IT systems at the senior level; OR Associate's Degree, with a preference of Bachelor's degree, or higher, in an IT-related field
- Minimum of one technical certification (e.g., MCSE, MCSD, MCSA, Red Hat) or computer forensics certification (e.g., SCERS, BCERT, CART)
- Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team
- Strong system and network troubleshooting ability
- Computer forensics training experience
- Ability to research and resolve problems efficiently and accurately
- Documentation skills, including SOP creation, lifecycle documentation, and task management
- Proactive approach to identifying issues, developing solutions, and providing data and metrics to management
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to maintain workload in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Experience supporting systems in Agile and DevOps environments
Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk's total compensation package for employees.
