Digital Fellow
About the Role
Chick-fil-A’s Digital Fellow Program is a 2-year, full-time rotational learning accelerator for aspiring digital leaders in the early stages of their career. The program offers exposure to key technical skills and capabilities in a real-world business context through three eight-month rotational assignments across the Digital Transformation and Technology Department. Fellows will elevate their technical skillset, gain business acumen, and increase leadership capacity in a collaborative, encouraging, and caring environment.
The Flexible Futures Model provides a mix of in-person (minimum 8-10 days per month) and virtual work to foster collaboration and community while strengthening Chick-fil-A’s culture.
Responsibilities
Digital Fellows will select from two development tracks based on their skills and interests: Software Engineering or Analyst. Learning tracks include special projects, shared experiences, and short-term assignments.
- Software Engineering Track
- Serve as a developer in programming languages like Go, Java, Python, and JavaScript, using frameworks such as Spring, Flask, Angular, and React.
- Learn skills related to AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Analyst Track
- Collaborate on technical tasks, create documentation (requirements, process maps, test plans, etc.), and communicate with functional and technical partners with guidance from senior team members.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications of low to medium complexity.
- Support and troubleshoot simple issues.
- Gather requirements, create documentation, and develop resources for system implementations.
- Analyze and evaluate current business processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, system architects, and subject matter experts to manage implementation of changes and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer or Industrial Engineering, HCI, Computational Media, Data Science, or other STEM-related technical major.
- Prior participation in Chick-fil-A’s Intern or Co-Op Program (preferred but not required).
