Digital Fabricator Specialist

About the role

Under the supervision of the Creative Director, the Digital Fabrication Specialist will draft detailed technical and production drawing sets for the production team to follow and fabricate. This includes measuring various builds to quality check for accuracy and assisting the Creative Director in researching codes, laws, guidelines, or regulations for project compliance. The role also involves project modeling, management, and use of the fabrication and technology lab, including CNC routing, laser engraving, and 3D printing.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawing sets and specifications, overseen by the Creative Director
• Perform 2D/3D CAD drafting and modeling
• Develop CNC coding and operate CNC routers
• Prepare and operate 3D printing files
• Operate laser engravers
• Conduct unit and build measurements
• Document project and as-built specifications with the shop and fabrication team
• Collaborate with the shop/fabrication team to ensure drawings are interpreted correctly and meet Brewco Marketing Group standards
• Assist the Creative Director with problem-solving and workflow management
• Research codes, laws, guidelines, or regulations for buildouts
• Input and manage data in company-designated project management software

Requirements

• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Experience with CNC/CAD CAM software and coding
• Technical drawing experience
• Experience with fabrication, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, CNC, and laser engraving
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Effective time management
• Active listening skills

Qualifications

Preferred education or experience includes a 2-year technical certification, a 4-year bachelor’s degree, or 2-5+ years of relevant experience.

Technology

• Laptop computer
• Concur or similar expense reporting system
• Electronic logs (e.g., Hours of Service System)
• Microsoft Outlook or similar email software
• Ability to learn other basic technology as required
