Digital Design Engineer
This position requires onsite work in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.
About the role
Solidus is seeking a skilled and collaborative Digital Design Engineer to join our defense engineering team. The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital circuitry and systems that support the organization's hardware and technology initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, create efficient architectures, and validate digital components throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and experienced in modern digital design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Requirements creation and analysis
- Parts selection and trade studies
- Architecture design (block diagrams, etc.)
- Schematic capture and involvement with the physical layout process
- Lab checkout and integration of hardware utilizing test plans and lab equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s or entry-level with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
- Experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design
- Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools across schematic creation, layout, and signal/power integrity analysis
- Experience developing and supporting complex, multi-layer circuit card assemblies
- Active Secret clearance
