THE PLAID AGENCY · Carmel, IN · 3 wk ago
On-siteMarketingFull-time

About the Role

You’ll be the go-to brain for content + digital: part copywriter, part strategist, part digital doer. One day you’re mapping a nurture journey, the next you’re naming a campaign or rewriting a headline until the click-through rate behaves. You’ll collaborate closely with account, design, and leadership to bring campaigns to life across web, email, social, and paid.

Responsibilities

  • Content & Copywriting
    • Write clear, compelling copy for websites, landing pages, digital ads, email campaigns, social content, video scripts, one-pagers, and more.
    • Translate client strategies and briefs into concepts, headlines, and messaging frameworks.
    • Adapt voice and tone across multiple brands—B2B, B2C, nonprofit, and everything in between.
    • Edit and refine existing content for clarity, consistency, SEO, and conversion.
  • Digital Strategy & Execution
    • Develop digital campaign strategies (objectives, audiences, channels, messaging, and basic funnels) in collaboration with account and creative teams.
    • Build and manage campaigns across key platforms (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads/Display, basic search) and/or coordinate closely with specialists.
    • Plan and schedule organic social content calendars for select clients.
    • Support email marketing strategy and execution: list segmentation, basic automation, A/B tests, and optimization.
  • Performance & Optimization
    • Monitor campaign performance and user behavior; pull data into simple, client-friendly reports.
    • Translate numbers into narratives: “Here’s what happened, why it matters, and what we’ll do next.”
    • Recommend ongoing optimizations to copy, creative, targeting, and landing pages based on results.
  • Collaboration & Agency Life
    • Work hand-in-hand with designers to concept integrated campaigns and content.
    • Participate in client meetings, presenting ideas, rationales, and results with confidence and clarity.
    • Help maintain internal standards for brand voice, quality, and digital best practices.
    • Support PLAID’s own marketing efforts (case studies, website content, social, etc.) as applicable.
  • Strategic Communications
    • Develop and execute strategic communications plans that advance client goals.
    • Identify and elevate compelling stories through earned, owned, and digital media.
    • Draft and edit press releases, media materials, executive messaging, blogs, newsletters, and stakeholder communications.
    • Build relationships with media and community partners to secure earned media opportunities.

Schedule

This position requires occasional nonstandard work hours in accordance with project needs, deadlines, deliverables, and urgent client requests.
