We are looking for a Digital Communications Specialist who will be responsible for the oversight, implementation, and day-to-day management of the organization’s online marketing and social media initiatives. This role will help increase awareness of industry issues and enhance member engagement. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGenerate, research, monitor and write content for website and social media posts that build member engagement: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other social networking applications. Respond to and report online reviews, conversations, and feedback from members and partners. Extract and monitor Google analytic data. Identify media trends and opportunities. Continuously improve engagement by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices. Develop optimal posting schedules, considering digital traffic and member engagement metrics.Develops and assists with timely and appropriately themed internal and external messaging including but not limited to safety messaging, member education, and employee communications. Serve as the primary on-call communications POC regarding member outages, posting to social media channels at the directed threshold, periodically after regular working hours. Develop content, design, proof, and distribute internal communication content and collateral to all channels.Assists in maintaining the Association’s website, including but not limited to content, layout, design, function and maintaining accurate content. Continuously positions the website for enhanced search engine optimization and ADA compliance and accessibility so members can easily find Association resources. Increase web traffic and member engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies. Assist with concept design, planning, logistics, execution and post-event content of Association events. Devise and execute creative marketing and communication strategies to assist with events. Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors and affiliated organizations. As part of the Communications team, may be called upon to serve on employee and Association committees to ensure Association guidelines are adhered or revised consistently. Provides communication support, from design, editing and writing, to other departments and assists in the development of both digital and print presentation and communications materials. Adhere to Association style guidelines and best practices. RequirementsBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or related field; and three years related experience. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other comparable social media channels, website software, and video production.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in writing in a variety of styles, adaptable to different target audiences.Experience and extensive knowledge to effectively use current Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite products.Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials.Self-motivated, well organized, personable, and able to exercise discretion, and use sound judgment in dealing with people and confidential information. Works independently to plan, schedule, meet deadlines and implement programs and policies within a team environment.Communicate and interact effectively with members and co-workers in a courteous, professional manner.
