About the role
The Registered Dietitian is a critical member of the leadership and clinical teams at Monte Nido Rosewood. They collaborate routinely with all disciplines to achieve optimal client care. Nutrition programming originates from core foundations of health, freedom from eating disordered behaviors, and developmentally appropriate progression toward self-trust and internally-directed eating.
Responsibilities
- Nutrition assessments of clients and monitoring of nutrition intake.
- Participation in the development of the Master Treatment Plan by the treatment team.
- Full oversight of meals prepared for clients on campus and proper documentation.
- Ensuring all nutritional services meet established standards and regulations.
- Insuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, at minimum, in Nutrition or related human services field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least one year working (or internship) in healthcare; psychiatric setting preferred.
- Hold appropriate Registered Dietitian credential.
- Must have (or obtain) CPR/BLS before starting work.
- Strong computer skills.
- Passion for excellence in helping clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a psychiatric setting, is preferred.
- Knowledge of HAES principles and its application in treating eating disorders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with meal planning and dietary management in a clinical setting.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software relevant to the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
