DIETITIAN - FOOD & NUTRITION SERVICES / WEIGHT MANAGEMENT / BARIATRIC SURGERY

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate assessments and provide recommendations for patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition, in alignment with ASPEN guidelines.
• Deliver comprehensive nutrition education to patients on a variety of nutrition-related topics.
• Work with both surgical and nonsurgical patients in collaboration with the bariatric and weight management team.
• Perform pre-surgery nutrition assessments.
• Manage post-surgery dietary needs.
• Maintain nutritional monitoring.
• Prevent complications.
• Provide long-term nutritional support.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nutritional Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Successful completion of an accredited dietetics program through ACEND.
• Maryland State licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
• Credentialed Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• One to two years of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist; one year experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care facility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates will be considered but must be registered and licensed in the State of Maryland.
