Dietitian

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) collaborates with other health care team members to plan and provide medical nutrition therapy to patients. This includes nutritional assessment, development of therapeutic plan, nutrition education, and monitoring of patients' response to medical nutrition therapy. The RD must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned units.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutritional assessments for patients.
• Develop and implement therapeutic nutrition plans.
• Provide nutrition education to patients.
• Monitor patients' response to medical nutrition therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field or Master's Degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field.
• Washington Dietitian Certification or Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
• National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Certification by American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Association of Diabetes Educators, or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics upon hire.
• Experience in Clinical Dietetics specifically with the age group to be served (neonate, infant, toddler, preschool, school-age child, adolescent, early adult, middle adult, older adult).
• Work experience in acute care and/or outpatient settings.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $29.93 - $46.46 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
