Responsibilities
- Overseeing and assisting the Food Service Staff with meal preparation based on established menus, regulations, policies, procedures and best practices.
- Regularly soliciting client feedback and incorporating solutions regarding the quality and satisfaction of meals served.
- Aid with menu planning.
- Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures.
- Assist with cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Participate in resident care conferences as assigned.
- Assists cook with the production of meals for service, as required.
- Coplanates and plans food preparation activities for special events.
- Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies.
- Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum a high school or equivalent education.
- One (1) year food service experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.
- Knowledge of state and federal food-handling and kitchen regulations (Serve Safe Certification).
- Must possess knowledge of food service operations.
- Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
