About the role
The Dietary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen staff to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Develop and implement meal plans that meet nutritional requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling and preparation techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in menu offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid Food Handlers’ Permit.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic computer skills including email and internet usage.
