Dietary Stock Clerk (DOH/NMBHI #12921)

Salary: $15.45 - $23.18 hourly ($32,136 - $48,204 annually). This position is a Pay Band C1. This posting will be used for ongoing recruitment and may close at any time.

About the role

This position is responsible for receiving and verifying all dietary supplies, matching them against requisitions using receiving reports to ensure accuracy. The role ensures the facility does not receive more or less than expected and informs the supervisor immediately of any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dry storage area and label dietary supplies.
• Store food and supplies in containers and in the proper storage areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control, sanitation, and licensing/certification standards when receiving and distributing food supplies for quality and safety.
• Date, label, and rotate stock using the first in/last out method.
• Conduct monthly inventory, recording physical counts, assist with reconciliation, and submit data to the food production manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in food handling.
• Experience in receiving, storing, and inventory methods.
• Experience with infection control and sanitary methods.
• Experience with rotating stock and delivering facility-wide.
• Must possess and maintain a NM Driver’s License.
• Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Qualifications

No prior experience or training is required.

Working Conditions

• Work primarily in a kitchen setting with exposure to high and low temperatures from ovens and freezers.
• Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching above head and shoulders required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
• May be exposed to minor physical harm such as cuts from knives, kitchen machinery, and other kitchen equipment.
• This is a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus; no tobacco or e-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus.

Pay
