Dietary Director

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Manager to join our team in Danville, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our foodservice team, the Dietary Manager will ensure the highest quality of patient care through exceptional culinary experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of dietary staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient meals and snacks.
• Develop and implement dietary menus that cater to patients' nutritional needs and preferences.
• Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient meal orders.
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting to minimize waste and optimize resources.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events, parties, and functions for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs as required by regulatory agencies and organizational policies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or foodservice setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical demands of the job.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in foodservice management, nutrition, or a related field preferred.
