Dietary Cook FT 2nd Shift

About the role

Dietary Cook Dining is an important part of life at Vancrest. We strive to provide the highest possible quality dining experience while ensuring the most nutritional diet possible for each resident.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure they are correct.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician, and other Supervisors as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Assure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure that meals are prepared on time.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Assure that utensils are readily available for the next meal.
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Pay

Pay starts at $15–16 per hour, depending on experience and determined by the hiring manager during an interview.
