About the role
The primary purpose of your job is to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, community procedures, and food safety and sanitation regulations, under the supervision of the Food Service Director. You will also assist in food preparation and service while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas as directed by the Food Service Director or Cook. Follows all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to resident diet specifications and community procedures
- Assist in food preparation and service
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas
- Adhere to health, sanitary, and infection control policies
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED support available)
- Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation fundamentals
- Current state-specific food handler training (or ability to meet requirements)
