Dietary Cook

About the Role

The Cook is a vital team member who will serve as a leader in the kitchen, working closely alongside the dietary director, dietary assistant, dietary aides, and cooks to guide all food functions. This role implements current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, and assisted living facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in a timely manner consistent with the posted dining schedule and approved menus.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation.
• Pull and properly store meat according to safety guidelines.
• Ensure completion of all temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, with responsibilities subject to change.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook or in a similar role (preferred).
• Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus.
