About the role
The Cook position at CareOne at Newton is responsible for preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Work under direction of the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services.
- Ensure quality food service is provided at all times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility, preferred.
- Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Strong customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid Massachusetts Food Handlers Card.
Skills
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Attention to detail.

Pay
Min $20/hr - Max $28/hr. Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, and work schedule.
Schedule
Part-time (22.5+ hours/week) and Full-time Employees.
