DIETARY CLERK

Job Summary

Maintains an efficient and effective Food and Nutrition Service Communications Center by coordinating intra and inter-department communications.

Responsibilities

• Performs all data entry computer functions for patients and residents, including but not limited to diet information, new admissions, discharges, diet changes, food preferences, allergies and menu selections, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Processes patient diet orders.
• Collections, prints and organizes patient menus.
• Enters patient menu selections for next day meal service.
• Prints and organizes tray tickets, production tallies dining room menus and snack and nourishment sheets for each meal service according to schedule.
• Enters nourishment and snack data in a timely manner daily and informs the Director and Clinical Nutrition Manager of any late issues.

Requirements

• Entry level knowledge;
• Basic employment skills;
• High School Diploma/GED (preferred);
• Phone etiquette;
• Data entry skills;
• Less than 1 year of experience.
