Dietary Assistant

About the role

Join Richwood Nursing & Rehab as a Full Time Dietary Aide. Located in Oldham County, near LaGrange, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dietary department functions including preparation of meal trays, dishwashing, and other assigned tasks as directed by the Cook and/or Dietary Supervisor.
• Set up meal trays, strip down returned trays, and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving different meals, check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine, and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks, sweep and mop kitchen, carry out trash and garbage, and put groceries away in a safe, orderly, and clean manner.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators, sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in the orientation and on-going training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively and harmoniously with personnel in all departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and solve practical problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Skills

• Food service routine learning ability.
• Basic kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay

$15.00 USD per hour.
