About the Role

As a Dietary Assistant at Maplewood Rehab and Nursing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to residents, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining areas, and communicating with residents and healthcare staff to ensure resident satisfaction. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills will be essential in providing a positive dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents, including plating and garnishing dishes
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining areas
• Communicate with residents and healthcare staff to ensure resident satisfaction

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
