Responsibilities
- Assure adherence to food preparation/sanitation practices and policies in a safe environment.
- Serve the diet prescribed by residents' physicians according to the menu of the day.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Dietary Services.
Essential Functions
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff in English.
- Read and write English.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
- Visual observation and ability to hear emergency systems and resident needs.
- Physical abilities to turn, stoop, bend, stretch, stand for prolonged periods, and use equipment competently.
- Respond to emergencies such as resident choking, evacuation during fires, and assisting residents.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Two years experience in the food service industry preferred.
Qualifications
- Required annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing and Annual Health Assessment.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply standards of sanitary food preparation.
- Required references and criminal record check.
- Competent in using food preparation equipment such as slicers, grinders, mixers, dishwashers, garbage disposals, stoves, coffee makers, etc.

Pay
The pay range for this opportunity is $16.00 - $16.30 per hour.
