Dietary and Food Dietitian

Responsibilities

• Help this company in its commitment to serve others by providing nutrition assessment and counseling in Medical Nutrition Therapy for adult and pediatric patients.
• Consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan following dietary field guidelines.
• Provide individual and group counseling on the control of diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, and other diagnoses.
• Suggest appropriate behavior modification methods for control and alteration of eating habits.
• Formulate menus for therapeutic diets based on medical and physical condition of patients, and integrate patients’ menus with basic institutional menus.
• Instruct clients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation.
• Serve as a resource and educator for health care providers and staff.
• Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control.
• Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical environment and/or administering nutritional service
• State license required
• Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
• A commitment to quality in everything you do

Pay

Pay Rate: $24 per hour
