Dietary Aide- Per Diem

About the role

The Food and Nutritional Services aide performs a variety of tasks such as making salads, sandwiches, dishing up desserts, and washing dishes while maintaining cleanliness and meeting required sanitary conditions for food service equipment and kitchen area. The aide also takes care of the scheduled cleaning of refrigerator and freezer units as well as daily cleaning of kettles, carts, pots and pans, and maintains supplies on Acute and Extended Care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, sandwiches, and desserts
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Meet required sanitary conditions for food service equipment and kitchen area
• Perform scheduled cleaning of refrigerator and freezer units
• Perform daily cleaning of kettles, carts, pots, and pans
• Maintain supplies on Acute and Extended Care units

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Experience desirable but not required
• Training and instruction provided continuously on the job
• Must obtain a Washington State Food and Beverage Service Workers Permit

Schedule

Variable days and shifts, Sunday through Saturday

Pay

$20.58–$31.82 per hour DOE + 10% in lieu of benefits
