Dietary Aide- Part Time

Job Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the cook/chef in determining the amount and type of food and supplies needed for daily meals.
• Assists in the preparation of meals and performs tray line duties.
• Checks meal tickets and prepares resident meal trays to ensure dietary orders are followed.
• Monitors food inventory and stock to prevent the use of expired food and helps maintain par levels of food goods.
• Cleans dishes, pots, and pans using a dishwasher and sinks.
• Cleans food service areas.
• Delivers meals to resident floors, dining rooms, and bedrooms.
• Performs server duties during events.
• Affords assistance in emergency procedures such as Code E, fire, disaster, and general health care emergencies as directed.
• Complies with the code of conduct and ensures resident privacy while being compliant with HIPAA.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Abilities

• High school education, equivalent.
• No license/certification required.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen, dining rooms, walk-in refrigerators, and freezers.
• Ability to walk long distances and remain on their feet for extended periods.
• Skills to bend, squat, push, pull, reach, stretch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
• Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals with the use of appropriate equipment.
