Dietary Aide - Part Time

About the role

Whitehall Borough Post Acute is a 166-bed post-acute care facility located at 505 Weyman Rd in Whitehall Borough, PA. Our facility is known for its strong clinical team, long-term staff, and good reputation.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at the beginning of shift.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away in a safe, orderly and clean manner.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in the orientation and on-going training of dietary staff.
• Ability to work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Skills

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Applicants under 18 must have a workers permit and parents' consent required for onboarding documentation.
• Clear Cisive Background Check - last 7 years reviewed.
• Compassion for a vulnerable population.

Pay

Hourly Compensation Range: $16.00

Schedule

Part Time - 4pm-7:45pm Every other weekend rotation, 2 to 3 days per week Same day pay
