About the role
Provides assistance to the cook on duty by performing primarily non-cooking related duties and secondarily cooking related duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepares food and beverages according to tested recipes and established procedures.
- Services food and beverages to residents and assists in serving trays.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains work areas including dishes, silverware, and workstations.
- Assists with meal preparation and serving under the supervision of the Cook and Assistant Cook.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to use supplies economically and operate equipment safely.
- Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Ability to read diet cards and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
