Dietary Aide - Mornings
Hourly Rate: $13.44–$17.17 | Full-Time | Morning Shift | Every other weekend required
About the role
At Walnut Hills, part of Greencroft Communities, our culinary team helps create welcoming dining experiences for the older adults who call our community home. We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member to join our culinary services team on a full-time morning schedule. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and likes being part of a team. You don't need previous kitchen experience—we'll provide the training you need to become successful in the role.
Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment
- Maintaining a clean and orderly dishwashing area
- Assisting with simple food preparation, including washing and cutting fruits and vegetables
- Preparing salads, desserts, and other basic food items as directed
- Setting up dining areas for resident meals
- Transporting food, dishes, carts, and supplies throughout the community
- Cleaning work areas and removing trash and other waste
- Restocking supplies and keeping commonly used items available
- Following food-service, sanitation, infection-prevention, and safety procedures
- Working alongside culinary team members to keep meal service on schedule

Requirements

Experience in food service, restaurants, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior living is helpful, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Remain standing and walking for extended periods
- Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Frequently handle items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds
- Safely perform assigned duties while following sanitation and infection-prevention procedures
