Dietary Aide I - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient meal trays accurately according to diet orders, allergies, and preferences.
• Deliver and retrieve meal trays from patient rooms in a timely and courteous manner.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding special requests, changes, or issues with patient meals.
• Provide basic assistance to patients with meal selection when needed.
• Aid cooks and other staff with simple food preparation tasks such as portioning, slicing, or mixing ingredients.
• Prepare nourishments, snacks, and beverages according to standardized recipes and diet restrictions.
• Set up serving stations and replenish supplies as needed during meal service.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment following department procedures.
• Dispose of waste properly and follow infection control guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Rotate inventory and ensure proper storage of all food and supplies.
• Report low stock or supply issues to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
• Valid PA Driver’s license with no violations required for a Dietary Aide II position.
