Job Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with food preparation under supervision.
- Participates in tray line production to ensure accurate assembly of trays.
- Ensures timely delivery of assembled trays to dining rooms and nursing units.
- Utilizes dishwasher and pot washing sinks to ensure cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, pots, pans, cups, trays, and utensils.
- Maintains food service workspaces in a clean and safe condition.
- Cleans workspaces and cooking/serving equipment according to department procedures.
- Prepares and transports nourishments, supplements, and snacks to units in a timely manner.
- Maintains communication with nursing department and residents to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- One year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting is preferred.
- The ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
- Other languages are helpful.
