Job Summary
Serves meals to physicians, hospital guests, and hospital staff. Duties include serving food, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and addressing customer inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified as a food handler within one month of employment.
- Able to manage a register.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of cleaning procedures.
- Ability to work cooperatively with department and hospital staff.
- Understanding and practice of infection control procedures.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ambulatory and able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull loads.
- Tolerance for rapid work load fluctuations.
- Maintains high ethical standards.
- Shares knowledge with peers and assists in orienting new employees.
- Flexible in meeting department needs, reports to work on time.
- Completes assignments promptly.
- Adheres to unit dress code.
- Willingly cross-trains to other units and floats to other areas of the department as requested.
- Demonstrates professional behavior.
