Dietary Aide/Dishwasher

As a Dishwasher, you are a vital part of our dietary team — ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for the residents we proudly serve.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Support the dietary team in providing excellent service
• Follow food safety and infection control guidelines
• Help create a clean and welcoming environment for residents and staff
• Preparing and portioning food items to help maintain the highest quality of life to all residents
• Setting up meal trays and delivery of meals
• Assisting with putting stock away on delivery days
• Washing and storing all pots, pans, dishes and utensils as well as sweep and mop floors and any other assigned special cleaning
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times
• Ensuring the dietary work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Have an understanding of the safe dietary procedures and the geriatric community
• Willingness to work for the best interest of the residents and facility
• Ability to work as part of a team and partnering with other departments
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
• Some Dietary experience is preferred
