Axiom Healthcare of Mount Vernon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join their team. The role involves delivering exceptional patient care by preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks, promoting hydration, and maintaining a clean and safe food environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve patient meals and snacks according to established dietary plans
• Assist with food preparation, including cooking, serving, and plating meals
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, dining, and storage areas
• Restock supplies and equipment as needed
• Absorb inventory management and ordering
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure patient satisfaction and meet dietary needs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare environment preferred
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in working with patients and their families
