About the Role

The Dietary Aide/Culinary Assistant supports all dietary or culinary requirements in service of the dietary needs of our clients in recovery. They will be expected to participate in all appropriate mandatory in-service classes, follow the work schedule as assigned by the supervisor, and perform other position-appropriate tasks as assigned. The Dietary Aide/Culinary Assistant shall fulfill these responsibilities in a timely manner so as to meet the daily mealtime service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow correct procedures in setting up all trays.
• Understand the basic principles of all common facility therapeutic and texture-modified diets and properly serve foods designated for these diets.
• Understand standard dietary/culinary abbreviations and color-coding used in food service.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is desired.
• Previous experience in food service is preferred.

Pay

The salary range listed represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting: $23 USD - $23 USD. Final salary offered will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.

Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs) provide psychosocial rehabilitation programs in secure, residential settings with a focus on brief lengths of stay. Crestwood’s Psychiatric Health Facilities (PHFs) are dedicated to restoring a sense of hope, self-empowerment, and realized potential of recovery in each of our clients. PHFs are for clients who require stabilization, medication management, behavioral interventions, psychotherapy, psychosocial education, and a transition plan to enable a successful return to their community.
