About the role

The Dietary Server at Fair Oaks Estates is responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals in a senior living community. This position involves working with residents' dietary needs, ensuring timely and accurate food service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation and serving meals to residents, employees, and special events.
• Prepare, season, and assist in cooking all menu items.
• Dishwashing, cleaning dining room, setting & busing tables.
• Coordinate prep for the following daily menus.
• Oversee the health and welfare of residents during mealtimes under the guidance of the care staff.
• Work flexibly with the kitchen staff and follow menus and standards in serving food on a timely basis, in sufficient quality and quantity.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, and communicate effectively in English.
• Prior kitchen work experience.
• Pass a drug test and criminal background check.
• Read, write, basic math, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift (bending, twisting, etc.) along with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Hardworking, energetic, positive attitude, works well on a team, and excellent attendance mandatory.
