About the role
Works within the Community Life Team in the main dining room or assigned neighborhood to provide assistance with dining services. Supports residents in maintaining their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness, ensuring a positive, quality dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Juniper Village’s philosophy, hallmarks, and all written policies and procedures governing the Community Life Departments.
- Ensure resident safety at all times.
- Embrace Culture Change and resident-centered philosophies.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures as instructed by the Dining Services Director, Director of Wellness, or other Leadership Team members.
- Follow work assignments and schedules to complete tasks.
- Prepare bakery items, desserts, dessert carts, and salad items according to the menu.
- Prepare healthy snacks, hydration carts, and special meals.
- Track resident attendance and intake.
- Deliver meals, food carts, and trays.
- Sanitize and set tables.
- Set up meals quickly, accurately, and in a neat, attractive manner.
- Plate food in accordance with the menu and dietary needs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dining services.
- Understanding of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
- Successful completion of a CPR and First Aid course.
Pay
Starting at $17.00 per hour.
