Dietary Aide

Yonkers Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located at 115 S Broadway, Yonkers, is seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Dietary Aides to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. About the role

The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, service, and delivery of nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment. This role plays an essential part in ensuring residents receive quality meals with exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble resident meal trays according to physician-ordered diets.
• Serve meals in the dining room and resident rooms with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal setup.
• Deliver snacks and beverages as scheduled.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining areas, workstations, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Properly store food according to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with receiving and stocking food and kitchen supplies.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing, and other departments to provide excellent resident care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and work throughout the shift.

Schedule

• Full-time: 6am–2pm
• Full-time: 12pm–8pm
• Part-time: 4pm–8pm

Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Pay

$21–$23/hour
