Dietary Aide

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aides to join our wonderful team!

About the role

The Dietary Aide will perform essential duties including reheating and serving food trays to patient units, working the tray line, serving employees and patients in the dining room, and other general cleaning tasks within the Dietary Department.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the preparation of special meals and events, including pot washing and restocking.
• Handle food and equipment responsibly according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Skillfully deliver and collect meal trays with precision and attention to detail.
• Provide enhanced dining service, serving meals in dining rooms and preparing and delivering snacks as directed.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Adhere to sanitary regulations and uphold established policies and procedures in food preparation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous food service aide experience is helpful.
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified, and serve food in an appetizing manner.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
