Dietary Aide

Job Duties

• Understanding types of therapeutic beverages and meals along with the use of adaptive utensils or equipment for specialized care.
• Monitoring food and equipment temperatures; portion control and food safety practices.
• Breakfast service for all residents from our Main Kitchen tray line.
• Preparing and delivering beverage carts and plating hot meals from mobile steam tables and then breaking down the units.
• Delivering cold foods and pre-plated hot meals to our Memory Care residents and completing cleaning tasks afterwards.
• Providing meal service in the Friendship Inn dining room and clean up and restocking afterwards.
• Daily kitchen cleaning, sanitizing and restocking tasks.

Qualifications

• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• The ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions and effective interpersonal communication skills across all departments.
• Light physical duty includes pushing, pulling and bending.
• Candidates must be able to engage in frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds or less, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates are mobile throughout their shift with established breaks and a lunch period.
• Experience is preferred but will train energetic and service-minded individuals.
