Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Dietary Staff is to prepare and provide delicious, nutritional meals for our patients and to keep the dining and kitchen area in clean and pristine condition.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for patients according to their dietary specifications
- Pass food trays
- Wash dishes
- Clean the kitchen and dining areas
- Stock supplies
- Opportunity to learn cooking skills

Qualifications
- Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
- Must possess Food Handlers certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred.
Other Job Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
