Dietary Aide

Job Summary The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and service of meals to residents, patients, or customers while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. This role supports dietary staff in meeting nutritional guidelines and ensuring high-quality food service. Key Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning ingredientsServe meals in accordance with dietary plans and portion control guidelinesDeliver meals to residents or patients, if requiredSet up and clean dining areas before and after meal serviceWash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipmentMaintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areasFollow all food safety and infection control proceduresStore food properly and monitor expiration datesAssist with inventory and stocking suppliesCommunicate with kitchen staff and supervisors regarding dietary needs or issues Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service or kitchen experience is a plusKnowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamGood communication and interpersonal skills
