Dietary Aide

About the role

Begin your path in the kitchen, the heart of our skilled nursing facility, located in beautiful Morrison, Colorado. Help prepare and serve meals to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks as directed by the supervisor.
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non‑entre foods into dishes; pour beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre‑preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
• Complete pre‑preparation as needed or assigned including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits; slice meat and measure or weigh for menu compliance and nutrition accuracy.
• Follow the cleaning schedule; clean equipment and work area after each use; sweep and mop kitchen floors as assigned; take trash to dumpster as assigned; wash pots and pans as assigned.
• Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
• Wash dishes and silverware according to dishwashing procedure; put clean dishes and silverware away; assist with cleaning of equipment, dishes, silverware and kitchen as assigned.
• Assist in preparation of food items and tray lines; work on meal tray serving line.
• Set‑up before start of meal service; break down area and clean‑up at end of serving line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ work in a large‑scale cooking operation, preferred.

Pay

Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour based on experience and shift.

Schedule

Shifts range from 7 am to 7 pm.
