Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking Part-Time Food Services Aides for various shifts. Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is a 258-bed facility recognized throughout the Hudson Valley for outstanding delivery of subacute and long-term care. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food dishes
• Deliver food to patients
• Assist the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace
• Review department policies, procedures, manuals, position descriptions at least annually and participate in making recommended changes to stay current on facility protocols
• Interpret policies and procedures to personnel, patients/residents, visitors, family members, as necessary
• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures
• Serve meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items
• Set up and take down dining areas and assist with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
• Assist with educational programs on nutrition

Requirements

• Must possess as a minimum, a high school diploma
• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide is preferred
• Bonus experience includes training in cost control, food management, or diet therapy
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities of a Dietary Aide in a skilled nursing facility
• Must have reliable transportation
