Dietary Aide

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area, and ensuring that residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining areas for meals and clean up afterward.
• Deliver food trays to residents and assist as needed during meal times.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Ensure excellent customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or food service setting is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow dietary instructions and menus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
