Dietary Aide

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192‑bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Croton‑on‑Hudson, NY, provides post‑acute rehabilitation and long‑term care in a luxurious, hotel‑like environment.

The Role

The Dietary Aide (Food Service) is responsible for reliable, dedicated meal service to residents, preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the nursing units with nutrition delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, serve residents, clean up after meals, and wash dishes.
• Maintain proper “in‑kitchen” preparation and cleaning for the assigned station.
• Prepare cold and hot food and beverage items according to diets and recipes.
• Assemble trays according to prescribed diets and serve resident tray line and main dining room.
• Take inventory and deliver prepared nourishments to nursing unit pantries at designated times.
• Handle food safely and deliver/retrieve food carts to all nursing units during meal service.

Requirements

• Some high school education.
• Experience working in a kitchen in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff.
• Working knowledge of food service techniques and sanitation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• COVID‑19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated.

Pay

Part‑time positions start at $21.67 per hour with pro‑rated benefits. Per‑diem positions are $25.07 per hour, without benefits.

Schedule

• Part‑time, 4 days/week, 7.25 hours/day (approximately 29 hours total).
• Part‑time, 5 days/week, 4 pm – 8 pm, 4 hours/day (20 hours total).
• Some weekend availability is required.
